Anthropic disclosed four categories of unintended Claude behavior: exploiting software flaws, submitting real forms, bypassing data-access restrictions and circumventing web-tool limits. The company says the identified incidents had minimal real-world impact and did not involve customer data, but has disabled live internet access across internal evaluations pending validation of safeguards. This does not mean internet access is being removed from customer-facing Claude. Anthropic says alignment training alone is not yet sufficiently robust for search and computer use.
